클락 국제공항(CIA)의 이민국(BI) 관리는 마약 관련 범죄로 본국에서 수배된 대만인과 가짜 이민 우표를 사용하다 적발된 2명의 인도인을 체포했다고 발표했습니다.

BI 인텔리전스 사업부장 "Fortunato Manahan, Jr." 체포된 대만인은 '라이포빙'(33), 인도인 2명은 '암리팔'(30)과 '프릿팔 싱'(24)으로 확인됐다. 이들은 모두 10월 6일 싱가포르로 향하는 타이거에어 비행기에 탑승하려고 시도했다.

Manahan에 따르면 "Lai"는 먼저 "Lai Bulut"라는 터키 여권과 특별 투자자 거주 비자(SIRV) 카드를 제시했습니다.

그의 여행 이력과 문서를 더 검토한 결과 "라이"는 1940년 필리핀 이민법에 따라 체류 조건을 위반한 혐의로 지난 2021년 4월 추방 명령을 받았다.

'라이' 역시 불법마약법 위반 혐의로 대만 경찰이 수배한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

마나한은 "그는 터키 여권을 이용해 형사 기소를 피하려고 했지만 그의 기록을 철저히 조사한 우리 경찰에 의해 그의 계획이 무산됐다"고 말했다.

한편 '암리팔'과 '싱'은 필리핀 입국 비자가 위조된 여권, 비자 연장 스티커, 도착 스탬프를 소지한 혐의로 체포됐다.

BI 커미셔너 "Norman Tansingco"는 이 사건에 대해 사과했습니다.

"비자나 우표를 이용해 출입국 심사를 통과하려는 그런 시도는 무의미합니다. 우리 경찰관들은 의심스러운 문서를 탐지하기 위해 엄격한 훈련을 받습니다."

그러나 Tansingco는 삼중 체포에 대해 경찰관을 더욱 칭찬했습니다.

Tansingco는 "이번 체포는 항만 경찰의 경계심의 증거"라고 말했다. 이어 "국가안보와 발전에 기여한다는 사명을 성실히 수행할 것임을 확신한다"고 덧붙였다.

[10.20] Two Indians with fake visas, a Taiwanese drug fugitive

Bureau of Immigration  (BI) officials at Clark International Airport (CIA) have announced that they have arrested a Taiwanese wanted in their home country for drug-related crimes and two Indians who were caught using fake immigration stamps.

BI Intelligence Division Chief "Fortunato Manahan, Jr." confirmed the arrested Taiwanese as "Lai Po Ving" (33) and the two Indians as "Amritpal" (30) and "Pritpal Singh" (24). They all attempted to board a Tiger Air plane bound for Singapore on Oct. 6.

According to "Manahan," "Lai" first presented a Turkish passport named "Lai Bulut" and a  Special Investor's Resident Visa (SIRV) card.

Further review of his travel history and documents revealed that "Lai" was ordered to be deported last April 2021 for violating the terms of his stay under the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.

"Lai" was also found to have been wanted by Taiwan police for violating the Illegal Drugs Act.

"He tried to avoid criminal prosecution by using his Turkish passport, but his plans were undermined by our police officers who thoroughly checked his records," "Manahan," said.

Meanwhile, "Amritpal" and" Singh" were arrested on suspicion of possessing passports with counterfeit Philippine entry visas, visa extension stickers, and arrival stamps.

BI Commissioner "Norman Tansingco" apologized for the incident.

"Such attempts to use visas and stamps to pass immigration checks are useless. Our officers undergo rigorous training to detect dubious documents, "

However, Tansingco further praised the officers for the triple arrest.
