이민국(BI)은 니노이 아키노 국제공항(NAIA)의 경찰관들이 자신을 캐나다 시민으로 위장해 입국을 시도한 두 명의 아프리카인(남성, 여성)을 적발했다고 밝혔다.

이민 국장 "Norman Tansingco"에게 보낸 보고서에서 BI 항구 운영 책임자 Atty. 지난 9월 25일 두바이에서 에미레이트 항공을 타고 NAIA 3터미널에 도착한 승객 2명은 "카를로스 카풀롱"이라고 말했다.

"Capulong" 부부는 해당 여행 서류의 진위를 즉시 의심하는 이민국 직원에게 위조 캐나다 여권을 제시했다고 말했습니다.

남성 승객은 "Adraman Issa Mariam"으로, 여성은 "Halime Abba Souleymane"로 확인되었으며, 둘 다 차드 중앙아프리카 공화국의 국민입니다.

“그들은 우리 장교들의 엄중한 검열을 받지 않고 입국할 수 있을 것이라고 믿고 본국을 은폐하려 한 것으로 보입니다. 그러한 문서가 합법적인 것으로 통과할 수 있다고 가정하는 것은 잘못된 것입니다.", "Capulong",

말했다.

사건을 알게 된 '탄싱코'는 아프리카인 2명을 이민 블랙리스트에 올려 필리핀 입국을 금지했다.

“나는 NAIA에서 일을 잘 해낸 우리 장교들에게 감사를 표합니다. 그들의 경계 덕분에 우리는 이 바람직하지 않은 외국인들이 우리 나라에 불법적으로 입국하려는 의도를 좌절시킬 수 있었다”고 BI 국장이 덧붙였다.

승객들은 문서의 많은 불일치로 인해 의심스러운 것으로 확인된 캐나다 여권을 제시한 것으로 보고되었습니다.

여권은 BI의 법의학 문서 연구소로 전달되어 문서가 실제로 위조되었음을 확인했습니다.

두 사람은 완전히 배제되어 출발항으로 가는 첫 번째 이용 가능한 항공편에 예약되었습니다.

[10.5] The BI intercepts 2 Africans with fake Canadian passports at NAIA

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said the officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) intercepted two Africans, a man, and a woman, who attempted to enter the country by passing themselves as Canadian citizens.

In a report to Immigration Commissioner "Norman Tansingco," BI port operations chief Atty. "Carlos Capulong," said the two passengers who arrived at the NAIA terminal 3 last Sept. 25 when they arrived aboard an Emirates flight from Dubai.

"Capulong," said the couple presented counterfeit Canadian passports to the immigration officers who immediately suspected the authenticity of the said travel documents.

The male passenger was identified as "Adraman Issa Mariam" and the woman as "Halime Abba Souleymane," both nationals of the central African republic of Chad.

“Apparently, they attempted to conceal their true nationality in the belief that they would be allowed to enter into the country without being suspected of strict inspection by our officers. They are wrong to assume that such documents can pass as legitimate,” "Capulong,"

said.

Upon learning of the incident, "Tansingco" ordered  the two Africans in the immigration blacklist and barred from entering the Philippines.

“I commend our officers at the NAIA for a job well done. Due to their vigilance, we were able to frustrate the intentions of these undesirable aliens to gain illegal entry into our country,” the BI chief added.

It was reported that the passengers presented a Canadian passports which were noticed as doubtful due to many inconsistencies in the document.

The passports were forwarded to the BI’s forensic documents laboratory, which confirmed that the documents were indeed counterfeit.

The duo were outrightly excluded and booked on the first available flight to their port of origin.
