이민국(BI)은 수백만 건의 통신 사기 사건에 연루된 혐의로 서울 당국에 의해 수배된 한국인 도망자를 체포했다고 발표했다.

BI의 도망자 수색대(FSU)는 출입국관리국장 '노먼 탠싱코'에게 보낸 보고서에서 9월 21일 파라냐케시티 BF 홈스 빌리지에 있는 자택에서 이원호(33)가 체포됐다고 밝혔다.

이명박을 체포한 FSU 요원들은 4년 전 국정원 위원회가 한국인들에게 내린 강제추방 명령에 따라 발부된 강제퇴거 영장으로 무장했다.

"탄싱코"는 "이씨"는 즉시 추방될 것이며 후자는 이미 재입국을 방지하기 위해 이민 블랙리스트에 올랐다고 말했다.

Tansingco는 "그는 여기에 존재하는 것이 공익에 위험을 초래하는 바람직하지 않은 외계인입니다."라고 말했습니다. 따라서 그는 필리핀 입국을 영구적으로 금지해야 한다”고 말했다.

BI-FSU의 렌델 라이언 사이(Rendell Ryan Sy) 소장에 따르면 한국 남성은 사기 혐의로 한국 서울 인천지방법원에서 구속영장을 발부받았고, 이 남성의 여권은 이미 취소된 상태다.

'이'는 마닐라에서 활동하는 것으로 알려진 대형 통신 사기 조직인 이른바 민주주의 패밀리의 고위급 구성원이라는 꼬리표가 붙었다.

"Sy"는 신디케이트가 해외에 거주하는 한국인 피해자들로부터 2,100만 달러 이상을 사취한 혐의를 받고 있다고 말했다. 이씨는 현재 타귁캠프 바공디와 BI 교도소에 수감돼 있다가 한국으로 송환될 예정이다.

[10.9] Korean Telco Fraud ‘Kingpin’ Arrested in Paranaque –BI

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has announced that it has arrested a South Korean fugitive wanted by Seoul authorities on suspicion of involvement in millions of Telco fraud cases.

In a report sent to Immigration Commissioner "Norman Tansingco," BI's Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) identified the fugitive as 33-year-old Lee Won-ho was arrested at his home in BF Homes Village, Parañaque City on September 21st.

The FSU agents who arrested "Lee"  armed themselves with a deportation warrant issued in response to a forced deportation order issued to Koreans by the bureau's board of Commissioners four years ago.

"Tansingco," said "Lee" will be deported immediately and the latter was already placed on the immigration blacklist to prevent re-entry.

“He is an undesirable alien whose presence here poses a danger to the public interest,” "Tansingco," said. “Thus, he should be perpetually barred from entering the Philippines.”

According to BI-FSU chief "Rendell Ryan Sy," the Korean man was issued an arrest warrant at the Incheon District Court in Seoul, South Korea on suspicion of fraud, and the latter's passport has already been canceled.

"Lee" was tagged as a high-ranking member of the so-called Minju Family, a big-time telecom fraud syndicate allegedly operating in Manila."

"Sy," said the syndicate is under suspicion of defrauding more than $21 million from Korean victims residing overseas. "Lee" is currently being held at BI Prison at Taguig Camp Bagong Diwa and will be deported to Korea.
