eTravel system to facilitate immigration procedures - BI

PASAY, Philippines - The  Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner "Norman Tansingco," sees the Philippines' e-Travel platform as making arrivals faster and easier processing for passengers.

The system, launched on 5 December, is an initiative of the IATF sub-technical workgroup chaired by the BI.

Partner agencies are the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), the Bureau of Customs and Customs (BOC), the Department of Health (DOH), and the Department of Transportation. (DOTr), Department of Justice (DOJ).

"The system integrates all data collection processes at the port," 'Tansingco," said.

"Instead of creating multiple forms for different agencies, everything will be integrated into a single platform, simplifying the immigration process," he added.

The use of the platform will replace the arrival card, which was previously submitted to BI upon arrival. Effectively on December 5, the BI will no longer be required to submit paper arrival cards for arriving passengers.
