MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has detained a Chinese man suspected of being a member of the mafia trafficking its citizens in the Philippines.

The Chinese man was identified as "Andy Cheng," 38, who was arrested by BI's Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) agents last December 13.

"Cheng," who has many pseudonyms, was pointed out as a suspect in an advisory video for an illegal online game company. He was arrested for the first time by the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP CIDG) Regional Field Unit Metropolitan Region (RFU-NCR) in Alabang, Muntinlupa City on December 7, but was released on the 6th.

"Our agents immediately arrested him after learning that he was about to post bail, as he was wanted by BI for alleged immigration violations," "Tansingco," said.
