마닐라, 필리핀 - 이민국(BI) 커미셔너 "Norman Tansingco"는 휴일 동안 배포되는 위조 문서에 대한 경고를 발령했습니다.

이번 경고는 지난해 12월 15일 니노이 아키노 국제공항(NAIA) 1터미널에서 한국인 '케수이인'(45)씨가 가짜 출입국 증명서(ECC)를 제시한 뒤 나온 것이다.

ECC는 6개월 이상 국내에 체류하는 외국인 방문객에게 필요합니다.

"Ke"는 중국 광저우행 중국남방항공 비행기에 탑승하려 했으나 그녀가 제출한 문서의 진위에 의문을 제기하는 1차 검사관에게 구금되었습니다.

확인 결과 그녀가 제출한 ECC가 사기인 것으로 확인되었습니다. "Ke"는 탑승이 거부되었고 이후 1940년 필리핀 이민법 위반으로 체포되었습니다.

그런 다음 "Tansingco"는 특히 휴일 러시 동안 문서의 신속한 처리를 약속하는 '해결사'의 서비스를 확보하지 말라고 국내에 있는 외국인들에게 경고했습니다.

[12.23] BI warns of fake documents circulating during holidays

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner "Norman Tansingco" has issued a warning about counterfeit documents being distributed over the holidays.

The warning came after a Korean national, identified as ``Ke ShuiYin,'' 45, presented a fake emigration clearance certificate (ECC) at Terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Dec. 15 last year.

An ECC is required for foreign visitors staying in the country for more than 6 months.

"Ke" tried to board a China Southern Airlines flight to Guangzhou, China, but was detained by a primary inspector who questioned the authenticity of the documents she submitted.

Upon verification, it was confirmed that the ECC she submitted was fraudulent. "Ke" was denied boarding and subsequently arrested for violating the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.

"Tansingco," then warned foreign nationals in the country to refrain from securing the services of ‘fixers’ promising expeditious processing of documents, especially during the holiday rush.

“Processing has been made easy and convenient, and we have 60 offices nationwide that can cater to different immigration transactions. There are also numerous BI-accredited agencies

and law firms that may assist you in your applications,” said "Tansingco." 

“Refrain from going to fixers for your documents, as it will only get you in trouble,” he warned.
