이민국(BI)은 통신 사기에 가담한 혐의로 서울에서 수배 중인 한국인 도피자를 체포했다고 발표했습니다.

노먼 탄싱코 이민국장은 성명을 통해 체포된 도망자는 Bgy에서 체포된 변종현(40) 씨라고 밝혔다. 12월 18일(FSU) BI의 도망자 수색대 소속 요원이 앙헬레스 시 발리바고.

'탄싱코'는 BI 이사회가 지난 9월 그에게 약식 추방 명령을 내린 직후 그를 제명하겠다고 밝혔다.

그는 이미 이민 블랙리스트에 올랐으며 원하지 않는 외국인이라는 이유로 필리핀 재입국이 금지되었다고 BI 이사는 덧붙였습니다.

BI-FSU 국장 대행인 "Rendell Ryan Sy"에 따르면 "변"은 2020년 4월에 발행된 인터폴 적색 통지 대상이기도 합니다.

이번 공고는 전기통신사업법 위반 혐의로 기소된 내국인 A씨에 대해 서울중앙지법이 발부한 구속영장으로 시작됐다.

남한 당국은 "변"이 보이스 피싱 캠페인에 가담했으며 동포들을 죽이고 있는 마닐라에 기반을 둔 조직 범죄 조직의 일원이라고 주장했습니다.

이미 신디케이트가 라켓으로 벌어들인 수익은 6억7400만 원(약 50만 달러) 이상인 것으로 추정된다.

"변"은 현재 타귁시 캠프 바공 디와에 있는 BI 구금 시설에 구금되어 한국으로 추방되기를 기다리고 있습니다.

[12.] Alleged Voice Phishing Syndicate Member Arrested in Angeles - BI

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has announced that it has arrested a Korean fugitive wanted in Seoul on suspicion of participating in telecommunications fraud.

Immigration Director "Norman Tansingco said in a statement that the arrested fugitive was "Byun Jonghyun (40), who was arrested in Bgy. Balibago, Angeles City by operatives from the BI’s fugitive search unit on Dec 18 (FSU).

"Tansingco," announced that he would be expelled immediately after the BI board issued a summary deportation order to him last September.

He was already on the immigration blacklist and was barred from re-entering the Philippines on the grounds of being an unwanted alien, the BI director added.

"Byun," is also subject to an Interpol red notice issued in April 2020, according to BI-FSU  Acting chief  "Rendell Ryan Sy."

The notice began with an arrest warrant issued by Seoul Central District Law against a South Korean national accused of violating the Telecommunications Business Act.

South Korean authorities claimed that "Byun," participated in voice-phishing campaigns and was part of a Manila-based organized crime syndicate that was killing his compatriots.

It is estimated that the syndicate’s earnings from the racket already amounted to more than 674 million won or roughly half a million dollars.

"Byun," is now detained at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City while awaiting his deportation to Korea
