[10.21] BI warns of fixers offering services to foreign nationals

MANILA, Philippines – Bureau Immigration  (BI) Commissioner "Norman Tansingco" has warned foreigners not to involve “fixer's” services when processing documents in immigration.

"Tansingco" shared that they have received reports that unscrupulous individuals have been offering foreign nationals ordered to leave the country assistance in fixing their cases.

"Tansingco," said bankrupt individuals were reported to foreign nationals with departure orders to help resolve the case.

"Tansingco said, "We have reported fraudsters at our office who have charged huge sums of money and promised to resolve the matter.

He added that according to sources, the compatriots of most of the parties involved are actively marketing their services on the communication platform WeChat.

"This is a scam. Do not try to deal with these scammers. They will not help you with your affair. It is best to follow the law to avoid further problems."
