니노이 아키노 국제공항(NAIA)의 이민국(BI) 직원들이 불법 도박에 연루된 혐의로 중화인민공화국(PROC) 당국이 수배 중인 중국인 도망자를 체포했습니다.

노먼 탄싱코(Norman Tansingco) 이민국장은 성명에서 해당 승객이 지난 12월 27일 베이징행 에어차이나 항공편에 탑승하려던 중 NAIA I 터미널에서 체포된 22세 '정잔홍(Zeng Zhanhong)'이라고 밝혔다.

"Tasnsingco"는 "Zeng"이 그의 출국을 처리한 출입국 관리관이 그가 법무부로부터 도망쳤다는 인터폴 블루 통지의 대상이라는 것을 발견한 후 차단되었다고 말했습니다.

"Zeng"은 중국 산둥성 범죄 사기 조직의 일원으로 추정되며 그곳 당국은 그에 대해 체포 및 구금 명령을 내렸습니다.

그는 인터넷에서 불법 도박 웹사이트를 운영한 혐의로 기소되었으며 이는 중국 법에 따라 심각한 범죄입니다.

"Tansingco"는 이 사건이 즉시 베이징의 대응자들과 조율되었고 공항에서 그를 기다리고 있던 중국 경찰에 의해 그가 도착하자마자 체포되었다고 말했습니다.

BI 국장은 “BI가 마닐라에서 중국 당국과 적절한 조율을 한 뒤 그의 체포가 가능해졌다”고 말했다.

한편, BI의 국경통제정보국은 필리핀 불법모집자 혐의가 필리핀을 떠나려고 할 때 NAIA에서 체포되었다고 보고했습니다.

그녀의 사건이 해결될 때까지 이름이 공개되지 않은 용의자는 두바이에서 피해자를 불법적으로 모집한 것으로 알려진 62세 여성이었습니다.

그녀는 지난 12월 22일 NAIA 1 터미널에서 스쿠트 항공을 타고 싱가포르로 출발하기 전에 억류되었습니다.

[12.30] Chinese Fugitive Intercepted at NAIA

Bureau of Immigration (BI) officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) intercepted a Chinese fugitive wanted by authorities in the People’s Republic of China (PROC) for involvement in illegal gambling.

In a statement, Immigration Commissioner "Norman Tansingco," identified the passenger as 22- year-old "Zeng Zhanhong," who was intercepted last Dec. 27 at the NAIA I terminal as he was about to board an Air China flight to Beijing.

"Tasnsingco," said "Zeng," was intercepted after the immigration officer who processed his departure found that he is the subject of an Interpol blue notice for being a fugitive from justice.

"Zeng," is allegedly a member of a criminal fraud syndicate in Shandong province, China, and an arrest and detention order was issued against him by authorities there.

He was accused of operating an illegal gambling website on the Internet which is a serious criminal offense under Chinese law.

"Tansingco," said the case was immediately coordinated with counterparts in Beijing, where he was arrested upon arrival by Chinese policemen who were waiting for him at the airport.

“His arrest became possible after the BI made the proper coordination with Chinese authorities in Manila,” the BI chief said.

Meanwhile, the BI’s Border Control and Intelligence Unit reported the arrest of an alleged Filipina illegal recruiter who was intercepted at the NAIA while she was about to leave the country.

The suspect, whose name was withheld pending the resolution of her case, was a 62-year-old female reportedly involved in the illegal recruitment of a victim to Dubai.

She was held at the NAIA 1 terminal last Dec. 22 before she could depart via a Scoot Airways flight to Singapore.

The suspect, who was turned over to the National Bureau of Investigation, was reportedly charged with illegal recruitment before the Davao City regional trial court which issued a warrant for her arrest. She faces a maximum sentence of 20 years for violation of Republic Act No. 8042.
