제1회 여름 영화제의 8개 공식 출품작의 출연진은 커먼웰스 애비뉴(Commonwealth Avenue)를 따라 빌라 베아트리즈(Villa Beatriz)에서 시작된 5km 경로를 따라 장식된 수레 위에서 환호하는 군중들에게 손을 흔들었습니다.

MMDA 회장 대행 및 동시 MMFF 전체 회장 Atty. 조이 벨몬트(Joy Belmonte) 케손 시장과 함께한 '돈 아르테스(Don Artes)'가 개막식을 인도하고 징을 치며 축제의 시작을 알렸다.

Artes는 "매년 여름 모든 가족을 위한 또 다른 영화 전통을 만들 수 있도록 영화관에서만 볼 수 있는 필리핀 영화를 위한 또 다른 플랫폼인 첫 Summer MMFF를 지지합시다"라고 열광적인 관중들에게 연설했습니다. 빌라 베아트리스 일요일 오후.

2023년 여름 MMFF 공식 출품작은 센터 스테이지 프로덕션의 "Apag", 틴칸의 "Singlebells", 아이디어퍼스트 컴퍼니의 "About Us But Not About Us", Saranggola Media Productions의 "Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko"입니다. ; MAVX Productions의 "Unravel: A Swiss Side Love Story", Quantum Films의 "Here Comes The Groom", Viva Communications의 "Yung Libro Sa Napanuod Ko", Studio Three Sixty의 "Love You Long Time".

[4.2] First-Ever Summer MMFF Parade of Stars Well-Received By Fans

Sweltering heat did not stop the fans in getting a glimpse of the stars of the first-ever Summer Metro Manila Film Festival during the Parade of Stars held in Quezon City today.

The cast of the eight official entries to the inaugural summer film fest waved at the cheering crowd atop their decorated floats, along a five-kilometer route which started in Villa Beatriz along Commonwealth Avenue.

MMDA Acting Chairman and concurrent MMFF Over-all Chairman Atty. "Don Artes," with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the opening ceremony and hit the gong, signaling the start of the festival.

"Let us all support the inaugural Summer MMFF which is another platform for Filipino-made films to be watched exclusively in cinemas, so we can create another movie tradition for every family every summer," said "Artes," addressing the enthusiastic crowd at the Villa Beatriz Sunday afternoon.

“With another film fest and with a good movie line-up, we believe that we can further make our local film industry livelier and vibrant,” he added.

"Belmonte," for her part, encouraged her constituents to fully support the first Summer MMFF.

The parade traveled through Commonwealth Avenue, until the Liwasang Aurora at the Quezon Memorial Circle, where the Meet and Greet with the celebrities took place.

The parade, hosted by the local government of Quezon City, featured floats carrying celebrities from the eight official movie entries in this year’s summer edition of the festival.

The 1st Summer MMFF, with the theme "Tuloy ang Saya" will run from April 8 to 18, with all of the eight official entries to be shown in theaters nationwide.

The official eight entries to the 2023 Summer MMFF are: "Apag” by Center Stage Production; “Singlebells” by TINCAN; “About Us But Not About Us” by The Ideafirst Company; “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko” by Saranggola Media Productions; “Unravel: A Swiss Side Love Story” by MAVX Productions; “Here Comes The Groom” by Quantum Films; “Yung Libro Sa Napanuod Ko” by Viva Communications, and; “Love You Long Time” by Studio Three Sixty.

On April 11, the eight movie entries will compete for the festival awards, which will be presented during the Gabi ng Parangal to be held at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
