메트로폴리탄 마닐라 개발청(Metropolitan Manila Development Authority)과 말라본(Malabon) 지방 정부는 오늘 바랑가이 캣몬(Barangay Catmon)에 복구된 말라본 피플스 파크(Malabon People's Park)를 개장했습니다.

면적이 3,200제곱미터가 넘는 새로운 Malabon People's Park에는 다채로운 분수대, 놀이터 장비, 조경, 태양광 지상 조명, 입구 아치, 인조 잔디 구역, 안락한 객실 및 유익한 표지판이 있습니다.

취임식 동안 MMDA 회장 대행 Atty. "Romando Artes"는 기관이 도시의 더 많은 주민들, 특히 어린이들이 즐길 수 있도록 지역을 재건했다고 말했습니다.

“말라본 주민들이 그들을 위해 조성한 공원을 잘 돌봐주셨으면 합니다. 이 공원을 통해 우리 아이들에게 안전하게 놀 수 있는 공간을 줄 수 있다”고 말했다.

한편 Malabon 시장 "Jeannie Sandoval"은 이 대유행 동안 녹지 공간의 중요성을 강조하면서 MMDA에 감사를 표했습니다.

“공동체에 개방된 공원과 공간이 있으면 우리 유권자들 사이에서 건강한 라이프스타일을 촉진할 것입니다. 여기에서 아이들은 놀 수 있고 어른들은 줌바와 운동과 같은 웰빙 활동을 위해 열린 공간을 사용할 수 있습니다.”라고 그녀는 말했습니다.

재건된 Malabon People's Park는 MMDA의 Adopt-A-Park 프로젝트에 따른 도시의 두 번째 공원으로, Malabon의 첫 번째 MMDA Adopt-A-Park 사이트인 Hulong Duhat Plaza보다 더 크고 넓습니다. 지난 9월 8일 에이전시는 형형색색의 분수대, 놀이 세트, 열린 공간이 있는 광장을 공개했습니다.

도시 쇠퇴를 억제하고 도시 열 영향을 줄이기 위해 메트로 마닐라 각 지방 정부 단위의 활용도가 낮은 공원을 사용성을 개선하고 기능적인 녹색 공원으로 전환하는 것을 목표로 합니다.

작년에 시작된 이 프로젝트는 전 MMDA 회장이자 현재 내무부 장관인 Benjamin "Benhur" Abalos, Jr.가 개념화했습니다."

이 프로젝트에서 LGU는 위치, 설계 및 비용 견적을 제안하고 기관은 부지 선정 기준을 설정하고 자금을 제공하며 프로젝트 건설을 수행합니다.

[12.2] MMDA Inaugurates Second Malabon Adopt-A-Park Site

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the local government of Malabon today have opened the rehabilitated Malabon People’s Park in Barangay Catmon – the second site in the city under the agency’s Adopt-A-Park project.

Covering more than 3,200 square meters, the new Malabon People’s Park has colorful water fountains, playground equipment, landscaping, solar ground lights, an entrance arc, an artificial grass area, comfort rooms, and informative signages.

During its inauguration, MMDA Acting Chairman Atty. "Romando Artes," said that the agency rehabilitated the area to be enjoyed by more residents of the city, especially kids.

“We are hoping that the people of Malabon will take good care of the park that is developed for them. Through this park, we can give our children a space to play safely,” said "Artes."

Malabon City Mayor "Jeannie Sandoval," meanwhile, expressed her gratitude to the MMDA as she underscored the importance of green space during this pandemic.

“Having open parks and spaces in the community would promote a healthy lifestyle among our constituents. Here, the kids can play while the adults can use the open area for wellness activities such as Zumba and exercise," she said.

The rehabilitated Malabon People’s Park is the second park in the city under the MMDA’s Adopt-A-Park Project which is bigger and wider than Hulong Duhat Plaza – the first MMDA Adopt-A-Park site in Malabon. Last September 8, the agency unveiled the plaza which also features colorful water fountains, playsets, and open spaces.

To help curb urban decay and reduce the urban heat effect, it aims to develop under-utilized parks in each of the Metro Manila local government units by improving their usability and transforming them into functional green parks.

The project, which started last year, was conceptualized by former MMDA Chairman and now Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos, Jr."

Under the project, the LGU shall propose the location, design, and cost estimate, while the agency sets the criteria for site selection, provides funding, and implements the construction of the project.
