"Carlo Dimayuga III," Acting Chairman of the Metro Manila Development Authority, surveyed several sites critical to flood control and management across the region, including Metro Manila, the day after Super Typhoon Karding hit Luzon.

Dimayuga surveyed the C-6 Taguig pumping station in Pasig, the Effective Flood Control Operating System (EFCOS) and the proposed location of the pumping station to be built at Tatalon/Araneta in Quezon City.

MMDA raised the red alert status from Sunday and created a Karding task force to prepare for the effects of the super typhoon.

Dimayuga yesterday monitored the conditions in various areas of Metro Manila at the agency's Metrobase Command Center to ensure all roads were passable.

The agency deployed frontline personnel and emergency vehicles to help victims and performed water structures.
