도시 붕괴를 억제하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 메트로폴리탄 마닐라 개발청(MMDA)과 마카티 지방 정부는 어제 2월 21일 도시에 있는 3개의 Adopt-A-Park 프로젝트 부지를 공개했습니다.

세 개의 공원, 즉 EDSA-Buendia Park, EDSA-Pinagkaisahan Park 및 Magallanes Interchange Phase A - Mini Park는 총 부지 면적이 3,000제곱미터입니다. 공원은 Makati City의 환경 서비스 부서에서 설계했습니다.

MMDA 회장 대행 Atty. "Don Artes," MMDA 부회장 Frisco San Juan Jr. 차관 및 Makati 시 행정관 Atty. 2Claro Certeza"가 공원의 개장 및 공식 전환을 주도했습니다.

2021년에 개념화된 Adopt-A-Park 프로젝트는 메트로 마닐라 각 지방 정부 단위에서 활용도가 낮은 공원을 사용성을 개선하고 기능적인 녹색 공원으로 전환하여 개발하는 것을 목표로 합니다.

이 프로젝트는 전 MMDA 회장이자 현재 내무부 및 지방 정부 장관인 "Benjamin "Benhur" Abalos, Jr."의 발명품이었습니다.

이 프로젝트에서 지방자치단체는 위치, 설계 및 비용 견적을 제안하고 MMDA는 부지 선정 기준을 설정하고 자금을 제공하며 프로젝트 건설을 수행합니다.

[2.21] MMDA, 마카티에 3개의 공원 입양 프로젝트 부지 공개

In an effort to curb urban decay, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the local government of Makati unveiled yesterday, February 21 the three Adopt-A-Park project sites in the city.

The three parks, namely: EDSA-Buendia Park, EDSA-Pinagkaisahan Park and Magallanes Interchange Phase A - Mini Park, have a combined lot area of 3,000 square meters. The parks were designed by the Department of Environmental Services of Makati City.

MMDA Acting Chairman Atty. "Don Artes," MMDA Deputy Chairman Undersecretary Frisco San Juan Jr. and Makati City Administrator Atty. 2Claro Certeza" led the inauguration and official turnover of the parks.

Artes said the improvement of these parks serve as an avenue for social interactions and family gatherings to be enjoyed by the residents living in Makati.

“These parks could give the residents of Makati the opportunity to spend quality time among members of the families and communities," said "Artes," adding that the agency is in constant coordination with the Makati City Government for future projects.

"Certeza," for his part, expressed his gratefulness to the MMDA for its initiatives to provide open spaces in the city.

The three parks, which were turned over to the City Government of Makati, have landscaping designs and hardscape features such as concrete floor pavings and benches.

Conceptualized in 2021, the Adopt-A-Park project aims to develop under-utilized parks in each of the Metro Manila local government units by improving their usability and transforming them into functional green parks.

The project was the brainchild of former MMDA Chairman and now Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary "Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos, Jr."

Under the project, the local government unit shall propose the location, design, and cost estimate, while the MMDA sets the criteria for site selection, provides funding, and implements the construction of the project.
