필리핀 항공(PAL)은 월요일 비행 중 다친 여러 승객의 의료비를 부담하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

PAL은 성명에서 일요일 로스앤젤레스에서 마닐라로 향하던 PR113편이 착륙 2시간 전에 심각한 난기류를 만났다고 말했습니다. 이 사고로 승객 9명과 승무원 3명이 다쳤습니다.

마닐라에 도착하자마자, 부상당한 승객들과 승무원들은 즉시 병원으로 옮겨졌습니다.

PAL은 "오늘 8월 29일 오전 10시 현재 승객 1명은 병원에 남아 있고 나머지 승객들은 치료 후 퇴원했다"고 말했습니다.

[8.29] PAL: 12 passengers were injured during severe turbulence on the LA-Manila flight.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Monday said it is shouldering the medical expenses of several passengers who were injured during a flight.

PAL, said in a statement, that Flight PR113 traveling to Manila from Los Angeles on Sunday, encountered severe turbulence 2 hours before landing. This caused injuries to 9 passengers and 3 crew members.

Upon arrival in Manila, the injured passengers and crew were immediately brought to a hospital.

"As of 10 a.m. today August 29, one passenger remains in the hospital, while the others have been discharged after treatment," PAL said.

"We are in the process of reaching out to the affected passengers and coordinating passenger wellness. This turbulence was not detected by the aircraft’s onboard weather radar system, so there was no advance warning. We affirm that safety is our top priority and that Philippine Airlines is fully cooperating with the relevant airport and aviation authorities," it added.“
