MANILA – 필리핀 최대의 배전 회사인 Manila Electric Co.(Meralco)의 프랜차이즈가 높은 연료 비용과 페소화 가치 하락으로 인해 9월에 지역 전기 요금이 인상될 예정입니다.

Meralco는 전기 요금을 킬로와트시당 PHP0.3907로 인상하고 전기 요금을 지난달 kWh당 PHP9.5458에서 kWh당 PHP9.9365로 인상할 것이라고 발표했습니다.

“진행 중인 Malampaya 가스 공급 제한으로 인해 더 비싼 대체 연료의 사용이 증가했습니다. 우리는 첫 번째 역이 있습니다. 지속적인 공급을 보장하기 위해 Rita와 San Lorenzo가 함께합니다.”라고 회사는 성명에서 밝혔습니다.

IPP(Independent Power Producer) 및 PSA(Power Supply Agreement) 무기명 페소 증분율이 추가되어 총 IPP 비용의 98%와 PSA 비용의 36%가 달러로 지배됩니다.

이번 주에만 필리핀 페소가 사상 최저치를 기록하여 달러 대비 PHP57 수준에 도달했습니다.

반면에 낮은(도매 전기 현물 시장)은 Luzon Grid의 향상된 전원 공급 장치로 높은 IPP 및 PSA 비용을 상쇄합니다.

Meralco는 WESM 요금의 감소가 kWh당 PHP3.7473이라고 말했습니다.

주거용 고객의 송전율은 이번 달에 PHP0.0432 감소한 반면 세금 및 기타 요금은 kWh당 PHP0.0758 순증가했습니다. (PNA)

MANILA – Franchise of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), the country's largest power distribution company, regional electricity rates will increase in September, due to high fuel costs and depreciation of the peso.

Meralco announced that it would raise electricity rates to PHP0.3907 per kilowatt-hour, raising electricity rates from PHP9.5458 per kWh last month to PHP9.9365 per kWh.

“The ongoing Malampaya gas supply restrictions have increased the use of more expensive alternative fuels. We have the First sta. Rita and San Lorenzo to ensure a continuous supply,” the company said in a statement.

Independent Power Producer (IPP) and Power Supply Agreement (PSA) bearer peso increment rates have been added, with 98% of total IPP costs and 36% of PSA costs dominated in dollars.

Just this week, the Philippine peso hit an all-time low, reachin the PHP57 level against a dollar.

On the other hand, a low (Wholesale Electricity Spot Market) offsets high IPP and PSA costs with an improved power supply from Luzon Grid.

Meralco said the reduction in WESM charges was PHP3.7473 per kWh.

Transmission rates for residential customers decreased this month  declined by PHP0.0432, while taxes and other charges had a net increase of PHP0.0758 per kWh. (PNA)
