[9.24] 'Karding' enhanced into a severe tropical storm

MANILA – "Karding" will land in Central or Northern Luzon after being strengthened by a severe tropical storm and typhoon, the weather bureau reported on Saturday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in an early morning update that, "Karding" could make landfall on the east coast of Aurora or Isabela on Sunday morning or afternoon.

Tropical Cyclone signal no. 2 is located in the southeastern of Isabela (Dinapigue), the northern of Aurora (Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag), and the Polillo Islands.

These areas will experiences winds in excess of  61 kilometers per hour (kph) and wind up to 120 kph can be expected within at least 24 hours.
