[10.9] Two LPAs Developed in the Pacific Ocean

MANILA - The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday that two low-pressure areas (LPAs) had developed over the Pacific Ocean, including one already within the Philippine Area of ​​Responsibility (PAR)

On a 4 a.m. bulletin board, PAGASA's "Beneson Estareja" said the nearest LPA entered the PAR on Saturday night and is now at  1,315 km east of Central Luzon.

He added that the LPA's will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms over the Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga.

"Estareja" said other LPAs discovered more than 2,000km south of Visayas are also expected to enter the PAR within the next few days.

Metro Manila and other areas show partly cloudy or overcast skies due to localized thunderstorms.

The northern Luzon region will experiences moderate to rough coastal waters with strong northeast central winds.
