[10.26] A trough of LPA will bring rain across PH

MANILA - The trough in the low-pressure area (LPA) will bring rain to most parts of the country on Wednesday, the weather bureau said.

In the latest weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast sporadic showers and thunderstorms for Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The same weather conditions will prevail in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol area, Mindoro area, Marinduque, and Romblon due to the shear line.

PAGASA said the area could experience flash floods and landslides, usually with heavy rains from time to time.

The LPA last tracked 1,010km. It is expected to develop into a tropical depression within 24 hours in the east of the Eastern Visayas.

On the other hand, the northeast monsoon brings rain to Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora.

Heavy rains, which are common or occasional, can cause flash floods and landslides in this area.

The northeast monsoon likewise causes isolated light rains in the Ilocos region and the rest of central Luzon.

Strong winds and rough seas will prevail in northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and southeastern Luzon regions.

Fishing boats and other small boats are advised not to venture by the sea, and large boats should be careful of big waves.
