말라캉은 해당 회의에서 확정된 계획과 결정을 아직 밝히지 않았으며, 대통령이 국가의 주요 곡물의 이상적인 양을 유지하기 위해 쌀을 수입할 수 있는지 여부도 밝히지 않았습니다.

농무부 장관이기도 한 "마르코스"는 앞서 필리핀 정부가 여전히 생산량과 수확량을 향상시키고 있는 동안 필리핀은 농산물 수입을 중단할 수 없다고 말했습니다.

MANILA - President "Ferdinand Marcos Jr." on Tuesday met with officials of the National Food Authority (NFA) to discuss the country’s rice stock.

According to a post on the Office of the President’s Facebook page, "Marcos," and his economic team, and NFA officials met in the Palace “to plan the administration's steps on maintaining sufficient rice buffer stock in the country.”

Malacañang has yet to divulge the plans and decisions that were finalized during the said meeting, and if the President is open to importing rice to maintain the ideal volume of the staple grain in the country.

"Marcos," who also heads the Department of Agriculture, earlier said that the Philippines cannot stop importing agricultural products while the government is still improving the country’s production and yield.
