Another Filipino was the victim of an unprovoked attack in New York City last Wednesday.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is calling for public help in identifying a white-clad woman in a surveillance video that assaulted a 74-year-old Filipino woman just walking in front of 485 Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

In an email, the NYPD told ABS-CBN News that at around 11 a.m. on August 24, an unknown black woman punched an elderly Filipino woman in her face, causing her to fall to the ground.

The attacker fled the scene on foot.

According to the NYPD, emergency medical services responded and transported the victim to Langone Hospital in New York in a stable condition.

After the incident, the Philippine Consulate General in New York sent a warning to Filipinos living or visiting New York City to remain vigilant after the incident.

It recommended that Filipinos in the area take the necessary precautions when walking or taking the subway.
