필리핀 통신사의 대변인인 시엘로 빌라루나(Cielo Villaluna)는 "PAL은 모든 승객에게 건강 상태를 모니터링하고 증상이 있으면 홍콩 보건부에 보고하라는 이메일을 보냈다"고 말했다.

지난 9월 5일 마닐라에서 홍콩에 도착한 이 승객들은 여전히 ​​5일간 의무적 격리 상태다.

"Villaluna"에 따르면 원숭이 수두에 양성 반응을 보인 승객은 병원에 있으며 면밀히 모니터링되고 있습니다.

[9.8] PAL urges fellow passengers of monkeypox to monitor their health.

MANILA - Passengers on Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR300, the first case of monkeypox infection in Hong Kong, have been advised to monitor their health, an airline spokesperson said Thursday.

"The PAL has sent an email to all passengers informing them to monitor their health and report any symptoms to the Hong Kong Health Department," said "Cielo Villaluna," a spokesperson for the Philippine news agency.

These passengers, who arrived in Hong Kong from Manila last Sept. 5, are still under mandatory five-day quarantine.

According to "Villaluna," the passenger who tested positive for monkeypox is in the hospital and is being closely monitored.

PAL advised other passengers to seek medical attention and contact the Hong Kong Health Protection Center if they have symptoms.

On Wednesday night, "Villaluna" said PAL has also communicated with the Philippines' health department regarding a case of monkeypox. 

Earlier, international reports showed that Hong Kong confirmed its first case of monkeypox on Tuesday, involving a returning resident who had spent several days in the Philippines. and the confirmed cases were also reported that she traveled to the United States and Canada last month. (PNA)
