마닐라 - 스타벅스 필리핀은 9월 13일부터 모든 음료의 가격을 5페소 인상한다고 현지 운영자가 화요일 밝혔다.

인기 음료 제조사는 가격 인상의 이유를 밝히지 않았지만 공급 제약으로 인해 최근 몇 주 동안 설탕 가격이 급등했기 때문입니다.

설탕 공급 부족은 8월 인플레이션을 6.3%까지 끌어올린 많은 요인 중 하나일 뿐입니다. 휘발성 가스 가격은 다른 상품 가격에도 영향을 미치고 있습니다.

스타벅스 필리핀은 "9월 13일 0시부터 모든 음료의 가격을 Php 5 인상했습니다... 우리는 고객에게 제공하는 경험과 비즈니스를 효과적으로 운영하기 위한 필요성 사이에서 적절한 균형을 유지하기 위해 정기적으로 가격을 검토합니다."라고 말했습니다.

이어 "우리는 특별 프로모션과 스타벅스 리워드 로열티 프로그램을 통해 의미 있는 방식으로 고객에게 가치를 제공하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있다"고 덧붙였다.

설탕은 가당 음료의 핵심 성분입니다. 일부 인기 있는 소다 제조업체는 수요를 충족시키기 위해 더 많은 프리미엄 설탕이 필요하다고 말함으로써 공급 부족을 표시했습니다.

소규모 제과점과 제과점도 설탕 가격 상승으로 소매가를 인상했다.

[9.14] Starbucks PH raises coffee prices by 5 pesos starting September 13th.

MANILA - Starbucks Philippines will increase the prices of all the beverages by 5 pesos starting on Sept. 13, the local operator said on Tuesday.

The popular beverage maker did not give the reasons for the price increase but it comes as sugar prices surged in recent weeks due to supply constraints.

Sugar supply shortage is only one of the many factors that pushed inflation to 6.3 percent in August. Volatile gas prices are also influencing other commodity prices.

"Starting 0n September 13, we increased prices by Php 5 across all our beverages...We regularly review pricing to allow us to properly balance the experience we provide customers with our need to effectively run the business," said Starbucks Philippines.

"We remain committed to providing value to customers in meaningful ways through special promotions and our Starbucks Rewards loyalty program," it added.

Sugar is a key ingredient in sweetened drinks. Some popular soda makers earlier flagged the supply shortage by saying they need more premium sugar to meet demand.

Even small-scale bakeries and pastry shops have also hiked their retail prices due to the higher prices of sugar.
