MANILA – 이민국(BI)은 5월 1일부터 종이 기반 출국 카드를 폐지합니다.

대신 승객은 예정된 비행 시간으로부터 72시간에서 3시간 사이에 온라인 포털 eTravel을 사용하여 출발 카드를 작성합니다.

12월에 처음 출시된 이 플랫폼은 도착항에서 데이터 수집 프로세스를 조화시키고 통합합니다.

노먼 탄싱코(Norman Tansingco) BI는 지난 주말 성명을 통해 "출국하는 여행자가 제출하는 문서를 간소화하는 주요 단계"라며 "곧 도착하는 승객도 플랫폼을 사용할 수 있다"고 덧붙였다.

eTravel 기술 작업 그룹 의장인 "Dennis Javier"는 여행자가 4월 15일부터 포털에서 등록할 수 있다고 말했습니다.

이 시스템은 BI가 의장을 맡은 기관 간 태스크 포스의 하위 기술 작업 그룹의 이니셔티브입니다.

정보통신기술부, 관광부, 검역국, 세관국, 보건부, 교통부, 법무부, 국가개인정보보호위원회와 공동으로 추진하는 프로젝트다. (PNA)

[4.1] Paper-based departure cards gone by May

MANILA – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) will do away with paper-based departure cards starting May 1.

Instead, passengers will fill out the departure cards using the online portal eTravel not earlier than 72 hours to not later than three hours from the scheduled time of the flight.

The platform, initially launched in December, harmonizes and consolidates data collection processes at ports of arrival.

“This is a major step in streamlining documents presented by departing travelers, allowing for faster and more efficient immigration processing,” BI Commissioner "Norman Tansingco" said in a statement over the weekend, adding the platform can also be used by arriving passengers soon.

"Dennis Javier," eTravel technical working group chairperson, said travelers may register at the portal starting April 15.

The system is an initiative of a sub-technical working group of the Inter-Agency Task Force, chaired by the BI. 

It is a joint project with the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Tourism, Bureau of Quarantine, Bureau of Customs, Department of Health, Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, and National Privacy Commission. (PNA)
