MANILA – Thirteen domestic flights were canceled and one was diverted due to inclement weather, the Manila International Airport Authority announced on Wednesday.

As of 1:55 p.m., the following flights were canceled:

-- 2P 2997/2998 Manila-Zamboanga-Manila

-- Cebu Pacific (5J) 852 Zamboanga-Manila

-- 5J 853/854 Manila-Zamboanga-Manila

Fight Z2 651 Manila-Zamboanga was diverted to Davao.

The low-pressure area (LPA) last traced 575 km. east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte remained less likely to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.

However, the weather bureau said this LPA and the shear line will cause moderate to heavy, with at times intense rains over Eastern and Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur. (PNA)
