마닐라 – 필리핀 서해 바조 데 마신록(BDM) 해역에서 해상 사고가 발생해 필리핀 어부 3명이 사망했다고 필리핀 해안경비대(PCG)가 수요일 발표했습니다.

PCG는 페이스북 게시물을 통해 월요일 오전 4시 20분에 신원을 알 수 없는 외국 상선이 BDM 근처를 통과하던 중 FFB Dearyn으로 확인된 필리핀 어선과 충돌한 후 사건이 발생했다고 밝혔습니다.

모선이 침몰해 선장을 포함해 어부 3명이 사망했다고 덧붙였다.

모선은 BDM에서 북서쪽으로 85해리 떨어진 파야오(payao) 또는 정박된 어류 부유물에 정박되어 있었습니다.

PCG 보고서는 또한 11명의 승무원이 살아남았고 서비스 보트를 이용해 인근 해역을 떠나 사망한 희생자들을 팡가시난 인판타의 바랑가이 카토(Barangay Cato)로 이송했다고 밝혔습니다.

생존자들은 화요일 오전 10시쯤 현장에 도착해 인근 해안경비대 변전소에 사건을 신고해 필요한 지원을 요청했다. (PNA)

[10.4] 3 Filipino fishers dead as foreign ship rams boat off Bajo de Masinloc

MANILA – Three Filipino fisherfolk died in a maritime incident off the waters of Bajo de Masinloc (BDM) in the West Philippine Sea, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported on Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, the PCG said the incident occurred at 4:20 a.m. Monday after an unidentified foreign commercial vessel rammed the Filipino fishing boat identified as FFB Dearyn while it was transiting in the vicinity of BDM.

It added that the mother boat sank resulting in the death of three fisherfolk, including the boat captain.

The mother boat was moored to a payao or anchored fish float 85 nautical miles northwest of the BDM.

The PCG report also said 11 crew members survived and used their service boats to leave the vicinity waters and transport the deceased victims to Barangay Cato in Infanta, Pangasinan.

The survivors arrived in the area at 10 a.m. Tuesday and reported the incident to the nearest Coast Guard substation for necessary assistance. (PNA)
