마닐라 — 보건부의 데이터에 따르면 필리핀은 3,643명의 새로운 COVID-19 사례를 기록하여 필리핀에서 확인된 총 코로나바이러스 감염자 수가 3,855,804명으로 증가했습니다.

ABS-CBN 데이터 분석 팀의 책임자인 "Edson Guido"는 지난 주 동안 국가가 하루에 4,000건 미만의 사례를 게시했다고 말했습니다.

MANILA — The Philippines has recorded 3,643 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the Philippines to 3,855,804, according to data from the Ministry of Health.  

"Edson Guido," The Head of the ABS-CBN data analysis team, said the country had posted less than 4,000 cases per day over the past week.

While there are currently 35,271 cases, the number of people who have recovered from the disease now stands at 3,759,176.

Forty-nine new deaths have been also reported, raising the total number of deaths from respiratory disease in the country to 61,357.49. 

"This is the ninth consecutive day that at least 40 deaths have been reported. "Spokesperson "Guido" added.

The DOH said 1,167 of the additional cases reported today were from Metro Manila.

The positive rate for the 14-20 August period was 16.2 percent, lower than the 18.2 percent recorded last week, Guido also said.

The Philippines' first case of COVID-19  was confirmed on January 30, 2020 from a Chinese woman who arrived from Wuhan City, China where the disease first appeared. 

According to the DOH Bulletin, during the week of August 1-7, the country recorded 27,331 new cases of COVID-19,an average of 3,904 per day which is 13 percent higher than the daily average the previous week, 

This is the highest number of cases recorded in a  week of Feb. 7-13 this year when 28,280 cases were reported, said the ABS-CBN Investigative and Research Group.

Severe and critical patients reached 772 from Aug. 1 to 7.From August 1 to 7.

At least 72.3 million people in the country have been fully vaccinated against  respiratory disease, of which 17.4 million have received their booster shots.
