“Covid-19(코로나바이러스 질병 2019) 전염병 동안 사바에서 잠보앙가로 필리핀인의 귀환은 항상 사바 당국과 필리핀 정부 기관인 해외 필리핀 귀국 관리 태스크 그룹(TG-MROF) 간에 조정되었습니다. 샤를 호세 주한 필리핀 대사는 금요일 성명을 통해 "사바 주 이동을 감독하는 임무를 맡게 됐다"며 "돌아오는 모든 필리핀인의 안전하고 질서 있는 여행을 보장하고 코로나19의 위험을 최소화하기 위한 것"이라고 말했다.

"Jose"는 송금이 필리핀 여행에 대한 최신 입국, 테스트 및 검역 프로토콜을 준수한다고 말했습니다.

그는 "팬데믹 기간 동안 이전의 모든 이동에서 대사관은 복지 지원을 제공하고, Covid-19 테스트를 감독하고, 귀국하는 필리핀인에게 여행 서류를 발급하기 위해 항상 참석했습니다."라고 덧붙였습니다.

이 성명은 약 750명의 서류미비 필리핀인들이 화요일 산다칸에서 잠보앙가로 송환된 후 나왔다.

보고서에 따르면 말레이시아의 여행 요건을 위반했다는 이유로 2020년부터 자국민이 여러 수용소에 구금됐다고 한다.

대사관은 사바 당국 및 기타 필리핀과 계속 협력할 것이라고 말했습니다.

[9.10] PH embassy extends assistance to Filipinos in Sabah

MANILA – The Philippine Embassy in Malaysia continues to extend assistance to all Filipinos in Sabah after the return of more than 700 nationals this week.

“The return of Filipinos from Sabah to Zamboanga during the Covid-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic has always been coordinated between Sabah authorities and the Task Group for the Management of Returning Overseas Filipinos (TG-MROF), which is the Philippine government body tasked to oversee the Sabah transfers," Philippine Ambassador "Charles Jose," said in a statement on Friday.  "This is to ensure the safe and orderly travel of all returning Filipinos and to minimize the risks of Covid-19."

"Jose," said the transfer complies with the latest entry, testing, and quarantine protocols for travel to the Philippines.

"In all previous transfers during the pandemic, the embassy was always present to provide welfare assistance, supervise Covid-19 testing, and issue travel documents to the returning Filipinos," he added.

The statement came after about 750 undocumented Filipinos were sent back from Sandakan to Zamboanga City on Tuesday.

Reports said the nationals have been detained in various centers since 2020 for violating Malaysia's travel requirements.

The embassy said it would continue to work with Sabah authorities and other Philippine.
