마닐라 - 8월 세금 징수액이 목표치를 4.46% 초과했다고 국세청이 금요일 밝혔다.

BIR은 성명에서 이 기관이 2289억3800만 페소(세금 환급금 제외)를 징수했는데 이는 이달 목표치인 2191억7200만 페소를 초과한 것이라고 밝혔다.

2021년 8월과 비교하면 이번 달 컬렉션은 23.03% 늘었다.

1~8월 BIR 누적 징수액은 1조5590억 페소로 지난해 같은 기간보다 12.25% 늘었다.

경제 관리자들은 수집 및 기타 정부 프로세스를 디지털화하면 수집을 개선하여 무엇보다도 사회 프로젝트 및 기반 시설 개발을 지원하기 위한 자금을 늘릴 수 있다고 말했습니다.

제한된 재정 공간으로 정부는 국민에게 서비스를 제공하기 위해 소득 창출 노력을 강화해야 합니다.

[9.16] BIR says tax collection exceeded the target in August 2022

MANILA - Tax collection for the month of August has exceeded the target by 4.46 percent, the Bureau of Internal Revenue said Friday. 

The agency has collected 228.938 billion pesos (net of a tax refund), higher than the goal of 219.172 billion pesos for the month, the BIR said in a statement.

Compared to August 2021, this month's collection is higher by 23.03 percent, the agency said. 

Cumulative collection of the BIR for January to August reached 1.559 trillion pesos, also up by 12.25 percent compared to the same period last year, it said. 

Economic managers have said that digitizing the collection and other government processes could help improve collection that could then boost funds to support social projects and infrastructure developments, among others.

With limited fiscal space, the government must ramp up its income generation efforts to deliver services to the people.

President "Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr" earlier said his economic agenda includes reducing the debt-to-GDP ratio, among others.
