마닐라 – Land Transportation Office(LTO)는 LTO 집행관만이 운전 면허증을 압수할 수 있음을 교통 집행관에게 상기시키는 메모를 발표한 데 대해 내무부 및 지방 정부(DILG)에 감사를 표했습니다.

LTO는 금요일 성명에서 필리핀 경찰(PNP)의 지방 정부 기관(LGU)과 교통 집행관에게 보낸 각서가 공화국법 10930에 따른 대법원 판결의 결과라고 밝혔다.

“LTO 대리인만이 불법 운전 면허증을 압수할 법적 의무가 있다고 합니다.

DILG의 움직임은 LTO가 교통법과 자동차 대중의 안전을 위한 최고의 법 집행 기관임을 강조합니다.

LTO는 "전국 LGU와 지방경찰청에 명령을 내린 DILG에 감사하다"고 말했다.

양해각서는 LTO, DILG, LGU 간의 협력의 기회를 열어 도로 안전과 규율을 위한 캠페인을 강화했다고 덧붙였다.

앞서 DILG는 9월 14일 "도로 안전 및 교통에 관한 관련 조항의 반복"이라는 제목의 메모를 발표했습니다.

그는 LGU가 교통 위반 티켓을 발부할 수 있지만 LTO와 대리인만이 운전 면허증을 압수할 수 있다고 말했습니다.

또한, LGU가 적용되는 조항과 모든 DILG-DOTC 공동 각서 회람 No. 1, s., 2008.은 법령, 명령 및 현지 정책을 검토하여 적합성과 준수를 보장합니다. (PNA)

[9.23] LTO lauds DILG memo on confiscation of driver's license

MANILA – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) appreciated the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for the release of a memorandum reminding traffic enforcers that only LTO enforcers can seize driver’s licenses.

In a statement on Friday, the LTO said the memorandum, sent to local government units, (LGUs) and traffic enforcers of the Philippine National Police (PNP)was the result of a Supreme Court decision Under Republic Act 10930. 

“It said Only LTO agents are required by law to confiscate an illegal driver’s license. 

The DILG’s move highlights the LTO as the premier law enforcement agency for traffic laws and the safety of the motoring public.

"The LTO said," We are grateful to the DILG for issuing orders to the LGUs nationwide and the local police Agency.

The memorandum of understanding has opened an opportunity for cooperation between the LTOs, DILGs, and LGUs to boost the campaign for road safety and discipline, it added.

Previously, the DILG released a memo on September 14 titled “Reiteration of Pertinent Provisions on Road Safety and Transportation”

He said the LGU can issue tickets for traffic violations, but only the LTO and the agents can seize driver's licenses.

Also, the Articles to which LGU applies and all DILG-DOTC Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, s., 2008.  to review ordinances, orders, and local policies to ensure conformity and compliance. (PNA)
