BSP(Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas)는 금요일 성명에서 미국 달러에 대한 필리핀 페소의 평가절약도 이번 달 인플레이션을 높이는 요인이 될 것이라고 밝혔다.

"이는 낮은 현지 연료 가격과 낮은 육류 가격으로 부분적으로 상쇄될 수 있습니다."

BSP는 "BSP의 가격 안정 명령에 대한 응답으로 가격 압력의 추가 확대를 방지하기 위해 적절한 개입을 허용하기 위해 매우 밀접하게 나타나는 가격 변화를 계속 모니터링할 것"이라고 말했습니다.

인플레이션은 8월의 6.4%에서 6.3%로 하락하여 5개월 간의 상승세를 마감했습니다.

이는 지난해 4월 같은 기간보다 4.9% 증가한 정부 목표치인 2~4%를 넘어선 2019년 1월 이후 가장 높은 수치다.

올해 첫 8개월 동안의 평균 인플레이션은 6.3%였습니다.

중앙은행은 올해 물가상승률을 평균 5.6%로 예상하고 있으며, 월별 물가상승률은 올해 마지막 분기에 정점에 달할 것으로 내다봤다. (PNA)

MANILA - Domestic price inflation is expected to rise to 6.6-7.4% in September 2022, higher than the previous month's level, on higher electricity and staple food prices.

The BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) said in a statement on Friday that the valuation savings of the Philippine peso against the US dollar would also be a factor in boosting inflation this month.

"This could be partially offset by lower local fuel prices and lower meat prices."

The BSP said it would continue to "monitor very closely emerging price changes to allow appropriate intervention to prevent further escalation of price pressures in response to the BSP's price stability mandate."

Inflation fell to 6.3% from 6.4% in August, ending a five-month upward trend.

It was the highest figure since January 2019, surpassing the government target of 2-4%, which was a 4.9% increase from the same period in April last year.

Average inflation for the first eight months of the year was 6.3%.

The central bank expects inflation to average 5.6% this year, with monthly inflation peaking in the last quarter of the year. (PNA)
