마닐라 – 열대성 저기압(TD) 5월 수요일 오후 루손 일부 지역에 계속해서 비가 내렸고 중심 근처에서 최대 시속 55km의 돌풍 근처에서 최대 지속 바람이 45km에 달했습니다.

기상청은 카가얀(Cagayan), 이사벨라(Isabela) 북부, 아파야오(Apayao), 칼링가(Kalinga), 산악 지방(Mountain Province), 이푸가오(Ifugao)에 목요일까지 때때로 폭우가 내릴 것으로 예보했다.

Ilocos 지역과 나머지 Cagayan Valley 및 Cordillera 행정 지역에도 때때로 많은 비가 내릴 것으로 예상됩니다.

[10.12] Maymay keeps raining in some areas of Luzon.

MANILA – Tropical Depression (TD) Maymay on Wednesday afternoon continued to fall rains over parts of Luzon with maximum sustained winds reaching of 45 kph near gusts of up to 55 kph near the center.

The weather bureau forecast occasional heavy rains in the Cagayan, the northern portion of Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao until Thursday.

Occasionally heavy rainfall is also expected in the Ilocos Region and the rest of the Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region.

Scattered to widespread flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas with these hazards, and in localities with significant antecedent rainfall.

Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over the eastern portion of Isabela (San Mariano, Dinapigue, San Guillermo, San Pablo, Ilagan City, Benito Soliven, San Agustin, Palanan, Divilacan, Jones, Maconacon, Tumauini, Echague, Cabagan), the eastern portion of Quirino (Maddela, Nagtipunan, Aglipay, Saguday), and the northern portion of Aurora (Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dilasag, Dipaculao)

A strong breeze to near-gale-strength winds will prevail in these areas.

Strong to gale intensity gusts associated with enhanced northeast surface winds and convergence with TD circulation are also experienced in Batanes, Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos region over the next 24 hours. 

Rough or very rough seas predominate on the coasts of northern and central Luzon and the east coast of southern Luzon.

Fishing boats and other small boats are advised not to enter the sea, and large boats should be careful of big waves.

The TD was last tracked 180 km. east of Casiguran, Aurora, and is forecast to continue moving westward towards the eastern coast of Isabela or Aurora.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration forecast “Maymay” to deteriorate into a remnant low within the next 12 hours. (PNA)
