마닐라 - 주필리핀 미국 대사 "MaryKay Loss Carlson"은 민다나오 철도 프로젝트(MRP) 완료 지원에 중점을 두고 필리핀의 다양한 교통 인프라 프로젝트를 공식적으로 지원했습니다.

금요일 Facebook 게시물에서 교통부(DOTr)는 "Carlson"이 DOTr 장관 "Jaime Bautista"와의 회의에서 MRP의 구현 및 개발을 위한 기술 지원을 제공할 것을 제안했다고 밝혔습니다.

“USTDA(미국 무역 개발청)와 USAID(미국 국제 개발청)를 통해 진행되는 지원에는 초기 단계의 프로젝트 준비 및 PPP(민간 파트너십) 구조 개발이 포함될 것입니다. 증가된 민간 부문 투자와 참여를 촉진한다”고 DOTr은 말했다.

"Carlson"과 다른 미국 관리들도 필리핀 해안 경비대(PCG), 특히 선박의 운영 유지 보수에 훈련 지원을 제공하겠다고 제안했습니다.

이어 "대사는 미 교통안전청(US-TSA)이 최근 NAIA와 미국으로 운항하는 현지 항공사에 대한 보안 평가에 대해 만족스러운 결과를 얻었다고 바티스타 장관에게 알렸다"고 말했다.

"Carlson"은 미해사 법 집행 고문 Mark Everson, 교통 보안국 직원 "Robert Rouland", USAID의 "John Avrett", 마닐라 주재 미국 대사관의 "Joseph Russo"가 회의에 동행했습니다. (PNA)

[10.14] U.S. Special Envoy Supports for Mindanao Railway Project

MANILA -  The United State  Ambassador to the Philippines "MaryKay Loss Carlson" formally supported various transportation infrastructure projects in the Philippines, with a focus on providing assistance to complete the Mindanao Railway Project (MRP).

In a Facebook post on Friday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said "Carlson" proposed in a meeting with DOTr Secretary "Jaime Bautista" to provide technical support for the implementation and development of the MRP.

“The assistance, which will be coursed through the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), will encompass the early stage project preparation and development of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) structure, to facilitate increased private sector investment and participation,” the DOTr said.

"Carlson" and other US officials also offered to provide training assistance to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), particularly in the operational maintenance of their vessels.

“The Ambassador likewise informed Secretary "Bautista" of the satisfactory findings of the US Transportation Security Administration (US-TSA) on its recent security assessment of the NAIA, as well as the local airlines flying to the US,” it said.

"Carlson" was accompanied in the meeting by US Maritime Law Enforcement Advisor Mark Everson, Transport Security Administration attaché "Robert Rouland," "John Avrett" of USAID, and "Joseph Russo" of the US Embassy in Manila. (PNA)
