[10.18] Scattered rains over most of PH on Tuesday

MANILA – A huge part of the country will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the northeasterly and southwesterly surface wind flows, the weather bureau said on Tuesday.MANILA - Northeast and southwest surface wind currents will bring sporadic rain and thunderstorms to most parts of the country, the weather bureau said on Tuesday.

The Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and northern Mindanao region can experience flash floods and landslides, usually due to heavy rains from time to time.

The rest of the area will be showered due to local thunderstorms.

Strong winds from the middle and rough seas from the middle prevail in Luzon.

Rough or very rough seas are expected on the coasts of northern Luzon (Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Cagayan (including the Babuyan Islands)).
